Bangalore: Kno, a California-based company, has raised $46 million to build a dual screen tablet. The device was featured at the D8 event and has two capacitive IPS screens, runs on a Tegra chip and comes with 16 GB of storage.
The Kno tablet features dual 14.1-inch capacitive IPS displays (1440 x 900 each), weighs 5.5 pounds, and offers six to eight hours of battery life. The company said it'll offer both pen and touch support, and it'll come with a stylus out of the box.
The company reportedly aims to get its first dual-screen tablet computer to market by the end of the year. Though there are no details available on the pricing, the tablet is likely to be priced below $1,000.
