Jayaram Led Zenprise Raises $30 Million
Fremont: California-based Zenprise, a secure mobile device management firm, has raised $30 million in a round of funding led by leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm Greylock Partners, with participation from the existing investors too. The company will use the fund for rapid growth and to accelerate its product development, sales and marketing efforts in order to meet the growing demand for its solutions will use the fund. Founded by Waheed Qureshi, who is also the Chairman and CTO of the company, Zenprise also protects all layers of the mobile enterprise, keeping organizations secure and complaint. Zenprise MobileManager and Zencloud helps the IT firms to choose from mobile device while safeguarding sensitive corporate data, shielding the network from mobile threats and maintaining compliance with regulatory and corporate policies. The firm has an extensive list of global customers and partners spans across sections of countries and vertical industries including aerospace and defense, financial services, healthcare, oil and gas, legal, telecommunications, retail, entertainment and federal, state and local governments. Bhat has been the CEO of the company since January 2004 and has over 23 years of marketing experience in high technology companies. Prior to this, he consulted with CEOs of IT companies in developing and managing the execution of breakthrough business strategies as well as helping to raise venture funding. Bhat started his career in 1980 at Intel where he was product manager of the Intel 286 processor. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Operations Research from universities in India and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. As part of the funding, Adheem Chandna has been named as the member of the Board of Directors of Zemnprise. Chandna has been a partner at Greylock Partners since 2003 and prior to this, he was the VP of business development and product management of Check Point Software.
