Jagran Prakashan raises 
225 Crore from Blackstone

Kanpur: Kanpur-based Jagran Media Network Investment, the holding company of Jagran Prakashan raised 
225 crore from the private equity firm Blackstone. The stake acquired by Blackstone has not been disclosed yet. Jagran Prakashan communicated this to the BSE.
Jagran Prakashan is a media and communications group with its main interests across newspapers, Outdoor, Internet and Magazines. Jagran Media Network Investment recently became the holding company of Jagran Prakashan with allthe 21 promoters consolidating their 59.46 percent stake in Jagran Prakashan into Jagran Media Network Investment. Jagran acquired the publishing business of Mid Day which included the afternoon newspaper Mid Day, Sunday Mid Day and Gujarat Mid Day along with the largest read Urdu daily, The Inquilab and their website.
