J Ramachandran takes over as CEO at Birlasoft

Noida: Birlasoft today has announced the appointment of J Ramachandran 'Ram' as the Chief Executive Officer. Ram has been with Birlasoft since July 2006 and was serving as its Chief Delivery Officer till recently.
Commenting on the development Amita Birla, Director, Birlasoft said, "Since the time Ram joined Birlasoft, he has played a very pivotal role in maturing Birlasoft into a customer and delivery centric organization. I wish him all the very best in this new role."
Ram took over the duties from Kamal Mansharamani, the outgoing CEO.
Talking about his appointment Ram said, "Birlasoft today enjoys an enviable position in chosen service lines and is recognized as a viable alternative to large scale service providers. It's a great honour to be appointed as the CEO of Birlasoft. I am excited about the opportunities and mindful of the challenges that the company must deal with."
Prior to joining Birlasoft, Ram had been with IBM Global Services for 11 years. With over 20 years of industry experience, he has a proven track record in the complete lifecycle of IT outsourcing and has led large value initiatives spanning multifarious industry verticals. He holds a masters degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
