Ittiam showcases its latest Technologies for Smartphones and Tablets

Bangalore: Ittiam Systems, media processing and communication technology provider, announces wide array of technologies in the dynamic market for smartphones and tablets. The company is providing leading edge technology like multi-party video conferencing and advanced audio-video imaging functions. Founded in 2001, Ittiam has been providing its services for end products such as portable media players/ recorders, digital camcorders, set-up boxes, in-transport infotainment, IP video phones, video conference equipment, video surveillance and media broadcast systems.
In past two years, after extensive Research and Development Ittiam has come up with application having advance features for smartphones and tablets. In the current financial year FY2010-11 ending on March 31, 2011, Ittiam is close to have sold six million high end smartphones and tablets sold by its customers that embed its multimedia technology for 720p high-definition video player and camcorder functions.
To speed up its operation, Ittiam has delivered high performance multimedia codes, use case applications and system integration support. Srini Rajam, Chairman and CEO, Ittiam Systems says, "We aim at making world class movie player, camera and video conference features on par with individual gadgets designed for those functions. The idea is to bring high end functions to the mobile world as well as take back amazing innovations from the mobile world to the traditional customers."
Ittiam is headquartered in Bangalore and operated through its network of offices and representatives around the world. Ittiam has a customer base of 300 companies distributed across U.S., Europe, Japan and Asia. Ittiam has two venture capital investors in Global Technology Ventures (GTV) and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, who have invested a capital of $13.5 million in Ittiam.
