The hard-hitting antagonism from Apple's iPhones and iPads is what fearing the investors. In addition to that, the burns from Google's bout of Android power-driven tablets and phones and other troupes like Motorola and Samsung, fears them too. Rumors are in the air that RIM is also going to face the doom as that happened with Palm, once the undoubted king of mobile world.

RIM, a few years back was the leading producer of mobile phones, but sometimes the smallest of mistakes comes with bigger destruction. The very statement fits in here for the company. They ignored the business customer market for so long, which resulted in congested coming up with new things and not knowing what people really want these days. This could possibly be called lack of research and observation.
