iPad-aholic: Confessions of 7 Tech CEOs
7. Lisa Falzone
CEO and co-founder at Revel Systems, an iPad based Point of Sale system for quick service restaurants and franchises.
Her explanation breaks down how she uses the device-- “The iPad is 80% business and 20% pleasure,” she says. “The first thing I do in the morning is open up the iPad to check my email. Then, I jump on a custom company dashboard to check how sales are going and view any customer red flags for the day.
Once the initial business is done, I turn on Pandora and get ready the day. Once ready, I check Skype for IM messages (Skype is the company default for IM). Then it’s FaceTime with employees who are not located locally to talk about sales, development and marketing.
At work, I take notes on the native iPad notebook. The iPad is always with me, and I use HighRise for CRM and project management — it’s a great way to find out what’s happening with the company. Because we sell an iPad-based solution, I use my iPad to show customers how to solve a technical issue.
My favorite games are in the Game Center — Chess, Hearts and Poker.”
