Intex launches its first Netbook
Bangalore: Intex has launched INTEX N101-WC1100, a compact and ultra-light netbook. This notebook has a 10.1 display and weigh just 1.2kg (with battery). "Netbook is the latest buzz in the market and we foresee it to be a replacement or an alternate product to laptops. The products have a universal appeal; they can strike a chord not only with the Gen Y but also with teenagers and the older generation. Further, they could also play a key role in bridging the digital divide," said Sanjay Kumar, DGM-PC, Intex. The netbook is equipped with Intel Atom N270 processor, which is power efficient and provides a fast day-to-day computing experience. It has a 160 GB SATA internal hard drive, a 1.3 mega pixel video camera and 1GBDDR2 memory, which is expandable up to 2GB. Presence of Intel 82845 ensures a quality graphics experience. The notebook also has WLAN 802.11 b/g Wireless LAN Module, Bluetooth connectivity, seven-in-one mini card reader and 10.1 inch WSVGA LED backlight display with an enhanced battery life of 240 minutes. It comes with a price tag of 18,900 (for black variant) and 19,400 (for red variant).
