The Largest Pizza

The world’s first largest pizza was built in 1987 by Lorenzo Amato and Louis Piancone. The pizza set a record by weighing 44,457 pounds and contained 9,375 pounds of cheese in it. The mouth-watering dish covered a distance of 10,000 square feet and measured 140 feet across. The pizza was sliced into nearly 94,248 slices and was eaten by 30,000 onlookers of Havana in Florida.

Fastest Pizza maker

The fastest pizza maker contest conducted by Domino's Pizza, found its winner who prepared 14 pizzas in 2 minutes and 34 seconds. Rene DeGuia, was a Domino's store manager from Palm Springs, California who set this record. Domino’s began this competition in 1982 and the main objective of this was to perfectly shape the two trays of dough into 14 perfect pizzas in the least amount of time. Although, the competition was all about speed, the judges also took a close look at the pizza’s quality.
