Taipei: Insyde Software a provider of unified extensible firmware interface (UEFI) firmware, made announcement that it has achieved extraordinary fast boot times on notebook PCs running Windows 7. Insyde Software operates along with SanDisk and Microsoft to address the growing demand from consumers and PC makers to reduce boot times and operating system load times. They will showcase these boot time technology advancements at Computex. "Our teams at Microsoft have made great strides in operating system boot time performance and we are fortunate to have industry leaders such as SanDisk and Insyde Software collaborating to provide further performance improvements through hardware and firmware innovation," said Mike Angiulo, General Manager of Windows Planning and PC Ecosystem at Microsoft. InsydeH2O's blink boot technology and SanDisk G3 SSD based platforms gain on average a reduction of more than 30 percent in the BIOS post time and over 60 percent in Windows 7 load times by providing Microsoft's industry-standard velocity test suites to measure BIOS post times and overall system boot-up speeds. According to Aven Chuang, Senior Vice President and GM, Personal Computer Group at Insyde Software, "Combined, InsydeH2O and SanDisk G3 SSD offer PC makers a new level of boot time performance and increased opportunity for product innovation."
