When it comes to the management rejig, in June V.Balakrishnan, former CFO and Director, replaced B.G. Srinivas, as Chairmen of Lodestone AG, the Swiss firm Infosys acquired in 2012. In August, in a regulatory filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Infosys named Ranganath D. Mavinakere, Binod Hampapur Rangadore and Nithyanandan Radhakrishnan as the newest members of its executive council, effective immediately.

Sources in the company and outside said Murthy, in his second stint, started the process of identifying internal candidates to groom for leadership posts. He is supposed to have identified three internal candidates for the top post — Ashok Vemuri, V Balakrishnan and B G Srinivas. Since Vemure left the company, the remaining two candidates are sought to become next CEO. Srinivas is head of Infosys Europe and of the banking, financial services and insurance business.
