Telegu Desam Party is the seventh wealthiest political party in the country. It has earnings of Rs 53.90 crore.
TDP is a regional political party in Andhra Pradesh. It was the second largest party with 39 members, in the 8th Lok Sabha 1984.The party aimed at safeguarding the political, economic, social and cultural foundations of Telugu speaking people in the country. The party aims to ensure provision of food, shelter and clothing to the common man at affordable and sustainable prices and achieve empowerment of women, youth and all backward segments of society in Andhra Pradesh.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam:
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) takes the eighth position on the list with earnings of Rs 44.28 crore. It is a state political party in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Since 1969 DMK is headed by M Karunanidhi, the prior Chief Minister of the state. The party holds the distinction of being the first party other than the Indian National Congress to win state-level elections with clear majority on its own in any state in the country.
