3. Dashrath Patel Museum:
Darshath Patel who is among the India's senior artists. Dashrath is known for his six decades of path breaking work in painting, ceramics, photography and design that can experienced in totality in his own presence. This museum, opened by Pinakin Patel, a senior progressive group artist and first director of NID in Ahmedabad, is just a boat ride away from Mumbai.
Patel is known to have collaborated with personalities like Charles Eames, Louis Kahn, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Frei. The museum is curated by his close friend and artist Sadanand Menon.
A journey through his work presents the viewer with a unique opportunity to enter the complex cartographic grid of the development of 'form language' in contemporary India. In the Museum creative minded people come together in a non competitive and inspiring setting to grow from each other's experiences.
