India's Political Bigwigs and Their Expensive Flights
LK Advani: The former deputy Prime Minister is a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the current opposition in the Indian Parliament. Advani served as Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister when the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance was in power from 1998–2004 under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
In the 2009 General Assembly polls, he emerged as one of those political leaders who flew the most within the country for election campaign and rallies. It was in Bell 412, a 12-seater helicopter where he flew for about 200 hours with a charged at
2 lakh per hour by its supplier.
