New Delhi: India's enterprise mobility software market is set to grow at a CAGR of 41 percent from 2008 to 2012, the highest growth in Asia Pacific, thanks to the significant investment in telecom network infrastructure, advanced technologies such as 3G and WiMAX and of course the growing demand, finds a latest report by Springboard Research.
According to the report, the overall market for enterprise mobility software and applications is expected to grow at a CAGR of 34 percent from 2008 to 2012, reaching $3.7 billion. That means India would grow faster than the overall market.
Meanwhile, the early adopters of mobility software such as Singapore and Australia will see their percentage shares of the total region's enterprise mobility revenue declining steadily.
The report says that mobile email would capture 61 percent share of the APAC enterprise mobility market by 2012. Moreover, the Asian enterprises are moving their focus towards empowering the middle and lower strata of their employee base with enterprise mobility applications.
"Both solution vendors and enterprises are realizing the importance of mobilizing the bottom segment of the business operations in order to improve the cost and time efficiencies and render the complete process value chain more productive," Nupur Singh Andley, Senior Research Analyst, Connectivity at Springboard research, told Business Standard.
