Anand Anandalingam
Anand Anandalingam is the Dean of the Robert H. Smith School of Business. He started his academic career as an assistant professor at the University of Virginia.
Anandalingam has been honoured with several academic and teaching awards and he has also received a variety of scholarships, fellowships and prizes.
On his appointment as the dean of the Robert H. Smith School of Business in the year 2008, Nariman Farvardin, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at the University of Maryland predicted that Anandalingam's "expertise in the vital area of electronic markets, his experience forming global partnerships, and his teaching excellence will help lead the Smith School to further success in producing graduates who contribute to the state and the nation and who are globally competitive’’, reports Aziz Haniffa of Rediff.
He obtained his BA and MA from the University of Cambridge and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Harvard University.
