Volkswagen Cross Polo: The ‘Crossovers’ look to be the new trend that is making waves in the Indian auto market. SUVs which were once big and bulky, the trend 
seems to have changed now with the likes of crossovers and compact SUVs. Joining this bandwagon shortly, will be the new Volkswagen Cross Polo. Though compact, the Cross Polo SUV looks rugged with a 17” wheels, neatly finished roof rails and the plastic cladding on the lower portions of the bumpers and door area.
The car sports a powerful 1.5L diesel engine that car churn out 74bhp and 110Nm torque which is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. There is a possibility that Volkswagen may also offer a 1.2-litre four-cylinder TSI engine mated to a 7-speed DSG setup with the Polo cross, but the actual details will be available close to the launch. The price tag of this compact SUV is expected to be between 
600, 000 to 800, 000 to stay competitive in the market.
