Indian Govt 'adequately prepared' to deal with hacking
New Delhi: The Government of India believes that Internet hackers can't stop attacking the country's cyber networks, but the country is all set to tackle such type of threats in future. Talking to Media on the sidelines of an event in New Delhi, Minister of State for Defence MM Pallam Raju said, "It will be foolishness to think that such cyber attacks will not happen in the future. It is for us to be prepared and take adequate measures...So, on that aspect, India is adequately prepared." When Raju was asked to asked to comment on the recent reported attacks on computer networks of the National Security Council and several other top military leaders by Chinese hackers, he said that with the high-level technology available with nations, it is understandable and it is to be expected that nations will try to hack into the secure systems of other nations. He also said that like China, India has cyber army to tackle with these hacking issues. Regarding the measures taken by government to deal with the hacking attempts, Raju said that counter-measures were in place to deal with such situations and one doesn't have to fear about the preparedness of the nation, reports Economic Times.
