The cricket legend, Sunil Gavaskar has also tested his luck in film industry. His film career was started a leading role in ‘Salvi Premachi’, a Marathi movie. But it couldn’t make the cut. After few years, he appeared in a guest role in ‘Maalamal’, a Hindi movie. Later, he came in the industry as a singer even though that Marathi song, "Ya Duniyemadhye Thambayaala Vel Konala" became popular. He couldn’t make a great impact in film industry, but after retirement from his cricket career, his career as a cricket commentator is very much appreciated. Today, he is one of the finest commentators in the cricket world.
