Bangalore: HP, one of the world's largest technology companies has selected India as one of its six Best Shore global delivery hubs in a bid to support rising client demand for lower-cost, scalable services. The Best Shore expansion plan for India, as planned under the existing environment and other related factors, includes the launch of three new facilities in Bangalore and Chennai, the company said in a statement. HP said it expects to add close to 500,000 square feet of real-estate and hire additional talent in 2011 but didn?t give details on headcount addition. HP Best Shore hubs are designed to improve the client experience by offering access to industry and technical expertise that can tailor sophisticated solutions to meet client requirements. The hubs are expected to reduce delivery complexity by providing multiple services from a single location. The HP Best Shore expansion is part of the $1 billion investment HP announced in June to grow its Enterprise Services business. Other hub locations such as Bulgaria, China, Costa Rica, Malaysia and the Philippines offer scale, multiple service lines and large employee-friendly campuses, said HP. HP's integrated Best Shore global sourcing model includes the skilled global workforce of MphasiS, a majority-owned, India-based business of HP. To achieve their enterprise goals, clients need access to a collaborative environment with innovation across borders and organisations, said Neelam Dhawan, Managing Director, HP India. The HP Best Shore hub in India leverages local HP Labs to deliver innovative services to help clients effectively meet business needs.
