Bangalore: Targeting at a five-fold increase in revenue by 2011-12, IDS software, a Bangalore based provider of IT solution for hospitality industry, is all set to enter markets in West Asia and Africa, reported The Economic Times. The company believes that the move can generate revenue at
100 crore in the future.
IDS software, which has reached the markets in 24 countries, is now planning to expand its operation to 100 countries. Initially the company opens its offices at Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia and Sudan in tie-ups with partners.
Rajesh P Yadav, General Manager (sales), IDS said, "These places are great tourist destinations and we see good demand from these areas." "Investments will depend on how we expand; we may need to acquire smaller companies or partner with bigger ones. However, a good percentage of the revenue will be invested in future development, which will depend on trends in the market and also on expansion," he added.
IDS brings out 14 software products exclusively for the hospitality industry in different areas like property management, central reservation, marketing and sales and finance.
He also mentioned that the Indian and overseas markets are seen contributing equal share to the Rs 100-crore revenue target, with a big chunk of sales to small- and medium-sized firms.
The company's revenue is expected to increase at Rs 30 crore in this fiscal, which was Rs 20 crore in 2007-08.
