Mumbai: Ideacts Innovation, a Mumbai-based Internet media venture, has launched a desktop interface application, 'Clink', targeted at white labeled cyber-cafes which are the access point for 36 percent of India's Internet users. It is an Active Desktop Application designed to create a new media platform targeted at the shared internet access space. It provides shortcuts to Internet browsers, messengers, search, news, entertainment and online storage, as well as advertisements from various companies. As part of Ideacts' partnerships with cyber cafes, the latter would be paid for installing the Clinck application on the desktops, while Ideacts would make money from advertisements. Some of the companies advertising with Ideacts include Cadbury, Perfetti, Naukri, MakeMyTrip, Dell, Yahoo, Guruji, Radio Mirchi, Lenovo, and eBay. Rudrajeet Desai, Co-Founder and CEO, Ideacts innovations said "It has been our vision to make the Internet experience better with new software technologies, which are more effective and useful for our end users. Clinck will enable us to offer to a broader set of advertisers an innovative platform to reach the hitherto highly fragmented Internet café space."
