Rancho Palos Verdes: The idea of iPad came before the iPhone, revealed Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs. The idea to abandon the keyboard for a multi-touch display, came about in the early 2000s during the time when a prototype came to Jobs that made use of the device's now-famous scrolling mechanism. "I thought,My God we can build a phone out of this." Jobs said at The Wall Street Journal's. When the tablet product was put on hold the iPhone made its debut in 2007 and Apple started selling the iPad tablet computer later. Both the products have taken over the task of personal computing which were earlier run by the computers using Microsoft windows operating systems. This had helped Apple to beat its long time nemesis Microsoft. Jobs said that, the network trouble caused by iPhone would have been inevitable to any wireless phone company with a lot of iPhone and iPad users. He also revealed that U.S will have a better reception by the end of summer. According to Steve, iPad's popularity is slowly gnawing away the usefulness of personal computers.
