HP unveils mobile workstation for 1,50,000

Mumbai: Hewlett-Packard (HP) launched five workstations priced between 29,999 and 1,50,000 for catering the need of sectors like medical imaging, animation, manufacturing, banking and financial services. "We expect enquiries to come from sectors where data, graphics and number-crunching play an important role," HP Country Manager Anurag Gupta told reporters here. Workstations are computers made for address need of specific segment. The new range includes Z210 CMT and SFF workstations and 8460w, 8560w and 8760w EliteBook Mobile Workstations. "Booming sectors, including that of digital content creation, manufacturing, architecture, engineering and construction are demanding computing systems that guarantees optimum performance and reliability," he added. The workstations incorporate the HP Carbon Footprint Calculator, which allows users to see how they can reduce their energy usage, carbon footprint and costs of computing. "These workstations are powered by the latest Intel Xeon processors of the E3 1200 family. This processor''s greatest innovation is how it incorporates the central processing unit and graphics engines on the same die," Intel South Asia''s Director of Sales and Marketing R Ravichandran said. HP Z210 SFF has been priced at Rs 29,999 and HP Z210 CMT Workstation at Rs 35,999. The HP EliteBook 8760w, 8560w and 8460w are in the range of Rs 95,000 and Rs 1,50,000.
