San Francisco: Hearsay, San Francisco based Startup founded in 2009 announces a cloud-hosted social media management application called Hearsay Social to monitor company's presence on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin. The application gives platform to the enterprises to register their business thoughts on the social media both at national and international level.
"There have been so many companies over the last few years focused on social media monitoring and analytics. What our customers are saying is that it's interesting to track what's being said on social media sites but that's not enough," said Clara Shih, Hearsay's CEO and co-founder. Businesses want easy platform to manage their day to day affairs where they don't need to make their own social media presence. In other words, companies think it's great each branch has its own Facebook Page or Twitter account, but they need to make sure that those accounts match the broader company message, and in some cases they're legally required to archive that content too.
Hearsay Social gives corporate staff compliance that includes message archiving, deletion or editing of improper words or comments, content management and analytics tool for the company's social media accounts, while allowing local offices to personalize their individual pages and sites. The application also works in compliance with regulations from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for companies subject to these rules.
Analytics capabilities makes companies aware of the usage of their social media pages and sites, track traffic and have a count of customers who are getting engaged in their products. Hearsay is charging a monthly subscription fee for the application.
Hearsay has about 30 employees at present and announces State Farm, 24 Hour fitness and farmers insurance as their initial set of clients. Sequoia capital along with other individual investors is investing with Hearsay.
