HCL Tech joins hands with VMware

New Delhi: HCL Technologies, one of the major Indian IT service providers has announced the signing of a global system integration contract with VMware, a global provider of 'virtualization' solutions.
According to a HCL press release, these services combined with VMware virtualization, contribute towards optimal utilization and improved IT efficiency, reduced complexity, faster application deployment and enhanced availability, reduced power consumption and waste, and lower overall operating costs.
Steve Houck, Vice-president, worldwide cannels, VMware said "We welcome HCL Tech into the VMware Global System Integrator program."
A HCL official said that the company would be responsible for re-selling, implementation and management of the infrastructure.
