Bangalore: After news that Microsoft was turning its voice platform to respond to what users are saying, Google has fastened its belts and has added the feature of 'personalized recognition' on Android phones. The phones running on Android operating system are now capable of learning the sound of the voice to enable more accurate voice searches. The service is an optional one available for Android version 2.2 and higher in the U.S. Presently, it supports only the U.S. English language. However, support for other languages will be started soon. What Google does here is record the voice searches and build a data of your speech model. Google says that the new feature will start to associate recordings of words immediately and improve them in due course of time. The algorithm of this would be simple, the more Voice Search you use, the more accurate it becomes. Since Google has been put in the loop by authorities for invasion of privacy earlier in the Street View cars issue, Google is being more alert this time round and has given the option of disabling the service offered.
