Google To Offer 'Star Trek' Feel To Its Search
Bangalore: The internet giant is on a roll at South by Southwest (SXSW) event, an Annual music, film, and interactive conference and festival held in Austin, Texas. After “talking shoes” Google now says its users to get ready for a Star Trek experience while searching the web, reports ABC news.
“The destiny of search is to become that ‘Star Trek’ computer and that’s what we are building,” Google’s Search Head Amit Singhal said at SXSW Interactive. Singhal said that computers will know what users want and so they needn’t type it in the search box.
“You can walk up to a computer and say, hey, computer,” Singhal explained. Of course, that is dependent on other technologies, including improved voice control, touch and sensory tech, he said.
