Bangalore: Google's social networking site is now available for business. The networking services opened doors to businesses for creating special web pages that can help luring users to spend more time on the website. This way Google can offer tough competition to its rival Facebook. Corporate brands and businesses have set up special pages within Google's social networking service. 20 businesses, including Pepsi, Toyota and retailer Macy's have set up their pages on the website and others organizations will be able to join in soon. Today Businesses are majorly using social networking sites for promoting their brands. Networks like Facebook reach out to customers on a larger scale and it strengthens the relationship with customers through promotions and special offers. Since the introduction of service in late June, Google has signed up more than 40 million users on Google+ but Facebook still leads the market with more than 750 million users. The business pages on Google+ can be accessed through Google's web search engine or within the Google+ social networking service. Companies typing the plus symbol in front of their business names like, "+Pepsi" will get a direct access to business' special page on Google+. But the "direct access" feature is at present available to a limited set of pages and many more are yet to come.
