Google slashes Apple and Microsoft for waging patent battle

Bangalore: Google slams Apple and Microsoft for claiming false patent. This practice can shoot up the prices of phones which use Google Android operating system. The success of Android has lead to an aggressive war. More than 550,000 android devices are activated daily.The rivals want to destroy the Android from the roots by suing Google for breaching many patents for building the famous operating system. Oracle filed a case around last year for violating the patents associated with Java which was obtained by the company. This happened when oracle took the ownership of sun Microsystems in the year 2010. Microsoft follows a different move towards Google by suing the device creators who use Android. The Motorola and Barnes & Noble, the manufacturer of the nook electronic reader, are also in the list. It has also provoked several companies especially the HTC to pay patent licensing fees for using android to avoid them from getting sued. The patent claims can lead to the complications for the Smartphones which uses android operating system. As there are chances for tax hike on these devices, they may face up to 2, 50,000 questions on the patent claims. David Drummond, the senior vice president and chief legal officer of Google has clearly revealed that Google is not into any patent litigation. Google did bidding on Nortel Patents and now wants to buy a wireless technology sector named Interdigital for obtaining wireless patent. He said that patent is created to encourage and safeguard the innovation of a person for which has put his efforts to make the product or device.
