Bangalore: Chrome browser user interface (UI) is getting a new look and new functionality by Google. Google is working on the new features of Chrome browser. In the year 2008, Google unveiled the chrome browser. Now they are planning for some changes in the browser which may include the removing of the address bar, which can be the most significant part of UI changes. They are also developing four other different layouts with four different types of navigations.
The new layouts are; classic, compact, sidetabe and touchscreen. Currently Google is focusing on classic and compact navigations.
In the classic version, by using the users browse history, Google is trying to improve its search features.
The two line layout will be eliminated in the compact version, which has tabs on the top and the navigation buttons, menu and URL bar. Instead of this layout, there will be one line layout that includes navigation buttons, a search button, tabs and menus next to each other.
The URL of each tab will appear only in two instances, when a page is loading or the tab has been selected.
Google has admitted that the layout has some drawbacks. That includes a crowded tab strip and the lack of menus in the tab.
Google has not revealed any information about the arriving of the new features, but they are aiming that when it will arrive this layout will help to expand the viewing area.
