Google Christens Next Android Version As KitKat


Nestle said that they more than 50 million specially branded chocolate bars will be available in 19 markets, including the U.S, U.K, Canada and the Middle East. Buy buying the Kitkat bar, you will be able to enter a competition to win Google prizes, including the Nexus 7 tablet.  According to Nestle's press release, they will make a limited number of robot-shaped bars.

“We couldn’t imagine a better name for our Android K release than the tasty chocolate that’s been a favourite among the team since the early days of Android,” said Marc Vanlerberghe, Director of Android Marketing, in the press release.

Sundar Pichai, head of Chrome and Android, tweeted the picture of KitKat Android doll that is now occupying the company's Mountain View campus. He also shared that there are now over one billion Android activations. Though there is not much information about how the next Android will be like, the tweet only leaves us with, “It’s our goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody."
