Bangalore: The users of Gmail are currently facing a 502 error while trying to access the Gmail log in page. Users are complaining on Twitter that Gmail is not accessible and Gmail service is down. The official help message of Gmail says that "If you're seeing a 'Temporary Error (502)' message when you try to sign in to Gmail, it means that your mail is temporarily unavailable. These errors generally resolve themselves within a few minutes, so please wait a bit before trying to log in again. Please note that while Gmail is inaccessible, your messages and personal information are safe. If you continue to see this error over an extended period of time, please let us know so we can look into the issue." Google is yet to release any information on this outage.
