Madurai: The Twitter network has been made available on SMS with the tie-up of Reliance Communications with Twitter. As stated by the press release, till November 30, twitter on free SMS can be enjoyed by the customers.
The launch of a social voice blogging service by RCom after the tie-up of mobile messaging leader Bubble Motion has made it extremely convenient to become a follower of your favourite star and get regular text and voice updates directly from the stars.
The bandwagon comprises of celebrities like John Abraham, Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra, Sonu Nigam, and regional film stars such as Riya Sen (Bengali), Ravi Kisen (Bhojpuri) and Pooja Gandhi (Kannada) who would be joined by many sports stars next year. The voice blog service is available on RCOM across CDMA and GSM networks.
Bubble Motion has made it extremely convenient for the customers by making its technological support platform handset-agnostic. This makes it irrelevant to download any application and customers can access the service through interactive voice response.
Customers can start following their favourite stars and have a socializing chat with friends by just sending an SMS to the Twitter short code 53000 to sign up if they are new to twitter in order to add twitter account to their mobile. For the old users, they just need to reply with their usernames as they already have an account to get started.
