3. Visitors/Meetings
Do you feel you have to attend everyone who stops by your desk? Clients may step in without prior notice or you may have an unplanned visitor which might distract your work. Often the work is distracted by colleagues who may have a break and decide to spend the time in your cabin. The best way out is to cut short the meeting by getting the points quickly and by scheduling time for your client meeting in advance. You can also pleasantly refuse the call for an unwanted break offered by your colleague.
