State Tableaus Adding Republic Day's Glory

Sikkim:

Guto Cham, an annual ceremony held in monasteries to destroy evil, was the theme of Sikkim's tableau last year which depicted the colourful culture of the country's smallest state.

 

 

 

 

Tripura:

The tableau of Tripura in the year of 2010 was focused on the melody-maestro Sachin Deb Burman. S.D. Burman composed music for 89 Hindi and 31 Bangla songs.

 

 

 

 

Uttarakhand:

In 2010 Uttarakand revolved their tableau with the theme of the origin of Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. It also depicted the Hindu mythological incident of ‘Samudramanthan.’

 

 

 

 

West Bengal:

This wonderful tableau will come with its full splendor in the forthcoming Republic day parade and will depict the states cultural heritage, its dance forms and the gulmohar tree which adds the beauty of West Bengal.
