Pegasystems India gets carbon positive certification

Hyderabd: Pegasystems India, the Indian headquarters and R&D center of Cambridge based Pegasystems, a provider of business process management (BPM) and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, has partnered with Haworth, designer and manufacture of adaptable workspaces to launch the environment sustainability campaign. Under the partnreship, Haworth has awarded a climate positive certificate to Pegasystems India, and with this Pega has become the first company from India to have this certification.
Pegasystems has brought in 'Allways' desking system by Haworth for its Hyderabad facility which will not just take care of the environment but also the wellness of Pega employees. According to Haworth, over a period of 15 years, the carbon footprint (kg) of 'Allways' is much smaller than the average desking system that has to be replaced every five years.
'Allways' desking systems at Pega are complemented by an environmental plan - the 'Haworth Climate Positive Program'. This program is a carbon off-setting program that utilizes various renewable energy projects throughout India to undo the environmental manufacturing impact of the Allways desking system.
Commenting on the occasion, Suman Eadunuri, Managing Director, Pegasystems India said, "We at Pegasystems have opted for Haworth's "Allways" desking system to fulfill its commitment towards saving/restoring the environment and employee health. We have also been working on various other Eco sustainability initiatives like WOW - Wealth from Waste in collaboration with ITC, reduce paper usage in office by replacing tissue papers with hand towels and avoiding using paper cups."
