Now it's a Rahul Era Ahead!

At the moment, the sole factor that may work for Rahul is his age. India is a young country with 60 percent of the population being youth. While old leaders have more experience to lead the country, the common mood in the country is for a young prime minister. At the moment there does not seem to be anybody apart from Rahul who could fulfill this desire. Rahul Gandhi's powerful links to the Gandhi dynasty is an added advantage that could see him occupy the highest throne. Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi lacks the charisma of a Vajpayee or Narasimha Rao, and does not have the necessary experience to lead the country. Rahul Gandhi should spend some time studying and understanding the complex issues facing the country, before he could be fit for the top post. Whether, becoming the Congress President is a step in that direction, only time will tell.
