Bangalore: Rahul Gandhi, tipped to be India's prime minister is all set to become the president of the Congress party. Several anonymous party leaders have confirmed that Rahul would take charge of the ruling party in 3 to 6 weeks. Some unconfirmed reports also suggest that this could be on November 19, the birthday of Rahul's grandmother, the late Indira Gandhi. It is well known that the party wants to project Rahul Gandhi as the prime ministerial candidate in the next general elections. Whether this is going to be good for the country or not is the question to be asked. Does Rahul Gandhi have the necessary leadership qualities like his mother to bail the Congress out of the corruption mess it finds itself in? Can he lead the party to victory in the next Lok Sabha elections? Lastly, will he make a good prime minister? While there are no clear answers to these questions, we have to consider the leader as he is now, his achievements, and weakness.
