Now, why is Modi revealing all this too late? Why was he silent as the IPL chairman? Is this an attempt to regain some credibility by revealing fictitious stories? Modi should have spoken out all this when he was at the helm of IPL. While Modi may be telling the truth, his revelations may not be taken too seriously as it seems to smack of attention seeking. Coming to the guilty verdict of the London court which confirmed that some Pakistani players indulged in corrupt practices to lose a Test match by deliberately bowling no balls at Lord's last year, the sentence should send a strong warning to all cricketers who indulge in such corruption. Pakistan former Cricket Captain Salman Butt has been sentenced to 30 months in jail, while Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir have been sentenced to one year and six months in jail respectively.
