Lack of Interest and Consistency in Agendas
At the moment, Rahul Gandhi appears incompetent due to his lack of interest in politics. He seems to be someone forcefully dragged into politics. He has also been not regular in attending the parliament. A young Rahul had once told his father Rajiv Gandhi (prime minister from 1984 t0 1988) that he wished to go back to those days when Rajiv was only a pilot and had no political aspirations.
Rahul Gandhi has also been lacking a clear agenda. He seems to be speaking on farmers one day, corruption on another, never sticking to a particular topic.
The voters of today may not be satisfied with political lineage or youth. They want somebody with the strong credentials of an Obama to usher in a real change. Apart from visiting villages, Rahul Gandhi will have to do something concrete, and work on his weaknesses. Otherwise we many see the scion son setting early.
