Innovations by IITians to be on display Saturday

New Delhi: An alarm that will alert you to bad body posture, a low cost Barille display to help the visually challenged, an industrial robot and many other innovations by IITians will be showcased in an open-house on Saturday. Around 400 projects by 1,000 IIT students will be on display for public, especially school children and industry people, during 'I2Tech' which coincides with the institute's golden jubilee celebrations. "Last year 2,000 school students and IIT aspirants visited our campus. I hope the this year public participation will be more. We are also expecting over 1,000 people of industries and around 12 firms will formally interact with our students during the open house," IIT-Delhi Director Surendra Prasad said.
