It shall be the duty of every citizens of India to value and preserve the rich heritage our composite culture. The word ‘culture’ in India itself is very vast, very wide and much diversified. But it became a recent trend especially for the young Indians to adopt the secular western culture. The television shows, the social culture of being sophisticated, the life-style, the thinking and adopting foreign cultures, everything is influenced by the developed countries. Later or sooner Indians are losing their own diversified culture.

It shall be the duty of every citizens of India to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers, and wild life, and to have compassion for living creatures. Are we really bothered to preserve our heritage? The Yamuna Biodiversity Park in Delhi which is a home for nearly 200 various species of birds and 900 species of plants has become a filthy drain due to carelessness. Not only the citizens, is the government also not lagging behind in not keeping this duty of theirs? In mid January this year, the Haryana archaeology department did fresco at the Mansa Devi Temple which was against rules of restoration of old and rare works of art.

Are all these duties getting exploited by Indians? Question yourself which will provide you the best possible answers. It’s never too late to ignite the feelings of belonging with your own country. Hopefully everything changes and these duties are maintained by every one of us and the new India emerges which was dreamt by our leaders.
