Changing Formula Without Care
In 1985, facing stiff competition from Pepsi, Coca Cola decided to abandon its popular formula and launch New Cola. The decision annoyed the Cola customers who loved the previous formula. To add to Cola's woes, the New Coke tasted worse. The New Coke proved to be disastrous as it distanced the customers. The Cola brand was greatly damaged during the New Cola debacle.
