Vinod Gupta: Vinod Gupta is the Founder and Chairman of InfoUSA, Inc., headquartered in U.S.A.  He had the clever idea of starting American Business Information Inc., which is now known as InfoUSA Inc., which made modest profits in the first year itself. The lists set by the company soon became cost-saving marketing tools for American small business and the company took off. More than a decade ago he gave $2 million to establish a business school at IIT Kharagpur to be modeled after the School of Management at MIT, which is now called the Vinod Gupta School of Management. He recently donated $1 million to set up a Women's Polytechnic in Rampur. His generosity is not restricted to India and he has also donated $2 million to establish a curriculum for small business management at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Sam Dalal: Sam owns Electro Fun in Calcutta. He has been involved with magic for the past 25 years, initially as a magician and later as a maker of readymade tricks. Though Dalal sells his equipment and teaches buyers how to use it, he insists on secrecy about his technology, especially as no copyright or patent is available for magic trick equipment, which falls under 'frivolous inventions'. The IITian’s main business is with the West. His annual export earnings from such equipment are reported to be over Rs 2 crore. He said "My main markets are the US, Japan and EC countries. It is important to ensure that the equipment is precision-made and fail-safe. I also innovate all the time and come out with new ideas," as reported by Outlook Money.
