“With the advent of smart phones, the era of telecommunication has changed horizons and communication has become almost free in developed countries with a number of service providers. But the problem in developing countries is that 95 percent of the population does not have access to either 3G or 4G which is almost a mandatory to make internet calls using Skype, Viber and other such applications,” said Yashas.

The initial version of the service will have a cap of 3 minutes talk time per day for unregistered and 12 minutes per day for registered users. However the founders are planning to take off the talk time restriction once the beta version is completed.

The final question of what profit do they get by giving free service may still remain in your mind.  The startup generates revenue from a 10 second advertisement that is played in between every two minutes of the call. The advertisement contains brand promotions and other offer coupons.

The budding venture has successfully raised 10 lakh from 88mph, an Africa-based accelerator program platform.
