Bangalore: It is said that money change people, but I do not really believe that. "Money doesn't change who you are, it just magnifies your personality," says Richard Castle of television series Castle. Well, I will have to agree with Castle on this one, he is absolutely spot on with this. I think it is the good or the bad that were always there in you, which gets amplified when you are rich and famous. We have a lot of examples around us. Let us go through some such examples, some celebrities, who got spoiled to their core do to the sudden riches and fame.
Winona Ryder
She had a good career in the late 80s and the early 90s, and she was nothing short of a big star. She was a popular actress, had great market, had several movies in hand, made good money and even produced a film or two. But then, in 2001 she was arrested on shoplifting charges in Beverly Hills. She was accused of stealing $5,500 worth of designer clothes and accessories at a Saks Fifth Avenue department store; seriously? A person who probably makes millions per movie stealing clothes worth $5,500? That is even worst that being a thief. She received some minor punishment including community service and probation. But, the most important thing Winona managed to pull out with this tantrum of hers is that she ruined her career as a whole. Today, psychologists are suggesting that shoplifting can be a mental disorder as well.
