Gordon Moore
Famous Entrepreneurs and their Zodiac Signs
Gordon Moore is the co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of Intel Corporation, and the author of Moore's Law. In April 1979, Dr. Moore became the Chairman of the Board, and the CEO, and was named the Chairman Emeritus in 1997. He is reported to have mentioned that his conservation efforts were partly inspired by his interest in fishing. Moore led the company to produce the world's first microprocessor, and on to become the world's largest producer of computer chips. Born on January 3, Moore felt a need to get to the top, like the mountain goat-the symbol representing Capricorn. Capricorns are said to be very ambitious, need challenges to be happy, and are hence determined and persistent in their efforts. Considered as introverts, they would stay till late in the office, and tend to achieve positions of power. So did Moore. The Moore's law, which states that transistor density on integrated circuits doubles about every two years, has become the guiding principle for the semiconductor industry to deliver ever-more-powerful chips, while decreasing the cost of electronics.
