Ex-Satyam BPO chief likely to be the new CEO

Bangalore: Search for Satyam CEO is taking a new turn as the government is believed to be considering the former CEO of Satyam's BPO arm Venkatesh Roddam, along with Vivek Paul, whose name is already there in the most probable list. Government is considering new name as Vivek Paul , a former partner of equity firm Texas Pacefic Group does not seem to be interested to come back to India, reported Business Standard.
Roddam was the CEO of Nipuna, Satyam's BPO subsidiary till three months ago. Taking a break from corporate life, Roddam is currently living in Hyderabad. "I am not too sure what is happening. I am getting calls from close friends and relatives who are asking me about this," said Roddam.
Though not directly expressing interest, Roddam said that Satyam is a fantastic company to work with. "It's an interesting and challenging role. They have a competent board now, to provide all kinds of support," added Roddam.
As an MBA graduate, Roddam has spent 18 years in financial services and banking in India and overseas. Prior to Nipuna, Roddam was working with Frankfurt-based Deutsche Bank for almost nine years.
