Burlington: expressor software, a player in semantic data integration, has announced that it has secured $10 million in a second round of funding. The investment was led by Commonwealth Capital Ventures, the early and growth stage venture capital firm that has invested in roughly 140 companies. Globespan Capital Partners and Sigma Partners, two other premier venture capital firms and expressor's existing investors, also participated in this Series B financing.
The funding will enable expressor software to further advance its data integration platform and to expand marketing, sales, business development and product support. This announcement follows expressor software's recent news regarding the appointment of two industry veterans to its senior management team in preparation for its next phase of growth
Justin Perreault, general partner at Commonwealth, commented, "We see an opportunity for expressor software to reshape the competitive landscape in the data integration market." Justin Perreault has also been appointed to the expressor software board of directors
"Data integration is too expensive and difficult to use and today's products have difficulty in coping with the complexity and exponentially growing volumes of data in G2000 enterprises. This is why we have developed a data integration platform that is easy-to-use and affordable versus current solutions," said Bob Potter, CEO of expressor software.
